Communications content

I have written copy for many types of printed collateral, as well as digital content. I love writing features of interesting people to help tell a larger story about a program or place. Whether it’s a newsletter, an email, a social post, a brochure or a blog post, at the heart of every written piece is a story. That’s what I tell.

Professor feature story for Arizona State University’s online program

“The lens through which you look at something matters — just as much as the thing itself at which you’re looking. That’s what Penelope Adams Moon, associate clinical professor and director of Arizona State University’s online graduate programs in history, teaches students in her historiography class. The class, which looks at how historical interpretations change over time, is a key part of the curriculum in ASU’s online master’s degree in history.”

“Energy-efficient heating systems that cool? It's not a mirage in the shimmering heat. Installing a ductless heat pump in your small business, restaurant or school gets you energy-efficient heating when it's cold AND air conditioning when it's hot. PSE makes it even more enticing with a $500 per ton rebate when you replace your current electric resistance heating with an AHRI Certified ductless heat pump. Add another $200 to your check when you also install a qualified connected thermostat. Increase functionality, maximize comfort (in cold temperatures as well as record-setting hot temperatures), and optimize energy usage when you install a qualified ductless heat pump.”

industrial program Case study for Puget Sound Energy

“It began as an intriguing idea and turned into an industrial energy-efficiency reality that saves more than 96,000 kWh every year. Spurred by a custom grant from Puget Sound Energy that covered a quarter of the project’s cost, Auburn-based Schilling Cider installed a custom energy-recovery system in their production line that allowed them to downsize from a 120-kW electric heater to a 15-kW heater. That translates to nearly $7,000 in utility savings for Schilling Cider every year.”
